Description

This Online course is designed to provide you with a combination of research, theory, and practice, and to enable you to participate critically and meaningfully in public policy analysis. It introduces basic policy principles and processes, including critical theories, tools, and applications. This course distinguishes three macro, micro, and content-oriented policy-making areas and provides a clear relationship between descriptive, analytical, and prescriptive policy analysis approaches. Its purpose is to help participants design clear, effective, and critical thinking about policy concepts and applications. Each module is presented in 4 weeks (12 sessions of 60 minutes) and this course has an end of course certificate of attendance.

The course consists of 3 modules and is offered in 12 weeks.

Objective:

This course provides a combination of research, theory, and practice that develops participants’ ability to critically and meaningfully analysis of public policy.

You will gain an understanding of the use of quantitative and qualitative tools and research methods as you become familiar with the key concepts of public policy.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for people working in the field of policy or public policy analysis. Policymakers and senior and middle managers, government agents, NGO experts, and individuals in public and private sector organizations, especially in Persian-speaking countries, who want to influence public policy will find this course very useful and effective.

Course date and duration

This is a 14 weeks online course delivered by communication experts in the form of seminars and workshops in Persian and English languages. Start Date: 16 َMay 2021

Sunday 16, Thursday 18,  and Thursday 20 May 2021, 13:30 pm to 15:00 pm Tehran Time.

All classes every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 13:30 pm.

Course Modules

  • First month:

An Overview of the Public Policy Paradigm Perspective (Explore the foundations, approaches, and domains of public policy)

  • Second month:

Concepts, and Methods of Policy Analysis (Strengthen the policy analysis capacity by three approaches of Descriptive, Analytical, and Prescriptive)

  • Third month:

Public Policy in Practice (Explore the Public Policy Domains)

Workshops (one at the end of each month):

  • Role-Playing Scenario in policymaking
  • Computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS)
  • Computer-assisted quantitative data analysis software

Certification

Fees

The registration fee For Persian speakers living in Iran, Afghanistan or Tajikistan is £625 (200 Million Iranian Rial), and for Persian speakers who live in other countries equivalent to £825.
